It is of the utmost importance to protect one of the most vulnerable groups in society. As a big sister to a young adult with special needs it is my responsibility to do my part.

I support this petition because many strategies need to be in place in order to help bring further awareness to such concerns specifically for a vulnerable person or child in danger.

Finding Parker has made it evident we need an alert for all at risk persons. When some one with disabilities or an elderly person goes missing the first few hours are essential and this alert would significantly increase the likelihood of that person being found quickly.

I think a Blue Alert would be incredibly important for someone vulnerable who may be lost or missing. The sooner information can be released to the public, there is a higher likelihood of finding them safely.

When a child is missing, time is of the essence. If an alert had been sent out right Thursday evening maybe we would have already found Parker. When it comes to children’s safety, we should always be trying to utilize everything in our capacity to assist police in finding the child.

My granddaughter has autism and is deaf. I would like to see this put into action. It would be devastating to have her go missing.
