We are pleased to support Denise Dodds’ candidacy for the Geothermal Rising Board of Directors. Denise brings a strong combination of policy experience, industry perspective, and relationship-based engagement.
Based in Calgary, Alberta, Denise is the Indigenous Affairs Manager at SLB, a global energy technology company with an active role in geothermal development. Her work at SLB connects industry, communities, government, and energy-sector partnerships. This perspective is especially valuable as Geothermal Rising continues to support geothermal growth across North America and strengthen connections between technology, development, policy, and community engagement.
She currently serves as the Canadian Geothermal Rising Policy Co-Chair and is a member of the Geothermal Rising Indigenous Working Group. Denise is Métis and has more than 15 years of experience in Aboriginal and stakeholder relations, with extensive background in government relations, agreement negotiations, strategic planning, business development, employment and trades training, and project applications involving environmental and socio-economic impact assessment.
Her experience across industry, policy, Indigenous engagement, workforce development, and government relations would make her a valuable addition to the Geothermal Rising Board.
Denise Dodds provides a balance between the economics of commercial geothermal and ensuring the respect and inclusion of indigenous people protocols.
