I’m off Griffin Road in Stokesdale and have seen, first hand, the destruction and inconvenience that these communities are imparting on this community/the county. I only wish we had more of a presence to have stopped Jacob’s Creek development. I hope to help Ellisboro before it turns out like over by me.

I was born and raised in Brown Summit. The neighborhood development of Reedy Fork destroyed the culture and way of life that many worked so hard for and cherished. That town is no longer recognizable from the quiet, community focused area that it used to be. It is for those reasons that I left. I fear the same is about to happen now to Madison, and I urge the commissioners not to make the same mistakes. Not to mention that the general contractor that has been mentioned is not known for quality.

This project is too much too soon. Approving this project with the expected density follows the "ready, fire, aim" philosophy, imo. We've had enough of that in this county and can't handle existing needs. It doesn't fit in with our county vision plan.

We already have way too much traffic on Hwy 220/74. Our town police, sheriffs and ambulance can’t even get along with one another how will they accommodate more citizens?
Considering I had a family member pass this year and we had two ambulances waiting with us to remove the body to Anne Penn; the Madison fire department and Rescue squads childish ways made my family member lay there even longer to wait on someone from Cardwell county to transport. Note he was in street clothes. We had transpor

I moved out here to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. What is being proposed would more than double the population of Madison. Sardis Church rd is already busy in the mornings trying to get onto 220 and they want to add another 2,000+ people in this sub division. The roads, The Schools, The Grocery stores, The Emergency Personnel are not sufficient to more than double the population overnight.

I moved to rural N. Guilford Co. in 1978 because I didn't want to live in a crowded city. Since then, Greensboro has annexed land within a mile of our home. Now Rockingham is considering rezoning to the north of us to allow dense housing. We're being robbed of the quality of life we expected to have from living in this area. We no longer see stars or enjoy quiet nights; we see a significant increase in traffic between Greensboro & Rockingham daily, & worry about declining water tables. Vote NO.

I oppose this because I don’t want Rockingham County to be like this Highway 68 corridor. We don’t have the reservoirs that Greensboro has. County residents are already being charged more taxes for fewer services than any county north of Asheboro: we can’t pay for the roads and sewers.

The builders have faced racketeering charges. The amount of tax payer expense to build out the infrastructure can be best used for other infrastructure needs and repairs in “west” Rockingham County.

We don’t want Stokes turned into a packed suburb.
