There are not enough restaurants, grocery stores, gas stations, nor enough room in our school systems to handle any more homes being built in Rockingham county. Build the Casino instead this will benefit madison area better and bring in revenue. Plus there are no jobs no money no farming no textile in this area any more. This area is poor. Let the people here have the jobs that are coming to the area I stead of building homes for people to relocate to this area.

I’m signing as living rural was for a purpose. If you want all the housing and bigger places to live more to Greensboro or Raleigh. Madison isn’t the place for becoming a giant city!

We have serious concerns regarding whether the existing roads, emergency services, infrastructure, and surrounding environment can safely support additional high-density residential development. Traffic also increases considerably during the summer months because of recreational activity associated with Belews Lake. Adding hundreds of additional daily vehicle trips from new housing developments would further increase congestion and the likelihood of crashes.

We live right off Sardis church and Ellisboro rd and that 4 way stop is already a nightmare with the amount of traffic it handles and amount of people who don’t know who to use stop at a 4 way stop. Plus the fire department stays on the run now with calls, how are they or the sheriff department going to handle that many more people and calls.

We live in country for peace and quiet and to know the few neighbors we have, not to have 3,100 homes built literally across the street from us with 3-4 people per home- 10,000-12,000 people. There will be trespassing and vandalism and theft, especially if section 8 housing like I’ve heard. Crime will go up, drugs will be in area, more people coming to buy drugs. The traffic getting out in mornings and evenings will be ridiculous, especially with a school on this road- Sardis Church Rd.

I don’t mind houses being built but high density should be out of the question. Do like I had to do. I needed an acre for my house then each of those houses should have an acre.

I bc work beside of Jennifer Tucker and this is literally causing her to have a nervous breakdown and I have already seen her go through one and I myself am not mentally stable enough or prepared to see her go through another!!!!

I live on Mineral Springs and know this would ruin my way of life with traffic cutting through into town. Madison does not have the infrastructure to support this type of growth.
