-Lack of necessary infrastructure
-Make the lots larger and if you build build nicer homes.
-This is a community of people that care about the quality of their lives and neighbors…not a bedroom community for people to buy cheaper housing and work in a larger city.
-This is not well planned growth, but just taking advantage of lower land costs and higher profits at the cost of the local community.

Can you imagine 40+ cars at the stop sign of Sardis church and 220? It would take and hour to get out of there I. The morning when school is on. Ellisboro road is the same. You have A lot of farm equipment, kids riding 4 wheelers and dirt bikes, and the traffic at Sardis and ellisboro would be another huge issue. I don’t want to pay for the infrastructure so this company can make all there money off of it. Let them pay for it. There are s lot more reasons than this but I’m going to give everyone

Too much traffic, will make my taxes go up again, schools can’t handle that many if each home has children. Fire department would need to be updated. Roads would deteriorate sooner from all the traffic

This zoning needs to be thought out more thoughtfully. If homes are to be built, it needs to be more like the rural area that this city is…more land and less homes. Most people live here bc it isn’t a big city or a large sub division. Build it down on 220 near Stokesdale/Guilford line.

We need more farms we are not a rural county for no reason we don’t need more trees and farmland taken out for homes ,solar farms, or data centers and other things of the sort including casinos we have enough going on as it is with taxes being hiked up and everything else going on this doesn’t just effect one little part of Rockingham county this effects the whole county

I live next to the property, my entire property borders the proposed development. I am for responsible progress, this is chaos to the entire community. No regard for any of our neighbors or our community impacted by the 1000+ homes, 2-3000 people, larger than the town of Madison.

I’m a farmer myself and use ellisboro rd often to get to different farms, it’s already busy with traffic. Madison can’t support 3100 more houses or possibly 6200 more cars on the rd.

I think that the rural towns of Mayodan and Madison are not equipped to take on such an influx of new residents. It would compromise the traffic flows through our towns, the school districts, the police and fire departments. The traffic in Madison and Mayo Dan are already congested this would just make it so much worse. As a resident of Madison I am totally against these being built. Please listen to the residents we're the ones that have to live here everyday of every year.
