Before approving the Dalton Farm rezoning, please make the fiscal case clear to the public. If the county has determined that the development will provide a net economic benefit, show the projected revenues, long-term public costs, developer-funded improvements, and assumptions behind that conclusion. A rezoning of this scale should have transparent numbers before a final vote.

We need more safe places for nature. We need more farms for food. We need clean water, safe streets, not a thousand homes packed side by side in the name of growth. There isnt enough infrastructure to support this ludacris idea of a thousand bland, cookie cutter houses that no one can afford. People who do want a home here look for the quiet country, where they can sit outside and watch birds in trees or flowers feeding bees. NOT sardines packed in overpriced tin cans.

This is ridiculous !The traffic on 220 alone is insane. The developer doesn’t care about the impact this will have on so many levels. Greed.

I moved to Rockingham County to get away from the large neighborhoods. It puts a strain on the infrastructure to include roads/crowds, stores, etc..

Before adding thousands of new homes, I would like to see more consideration given to investing in the housing we already have—purchasing and renovating vacant or deteriorating homes and strengthening our existing neighborhoods. Growth doesn’t always have to mean replacing farmland with new subdivisions.

We are not opposed to change - but change of this magnitude needs to be intentional and well thought out. We don't have the roads or infrastructure to support this proposal at this time
