It’s all about the money. People who live in Rockingham County want to live in the country. We love the small town feel. We don’t want to live in area full of cheap crap houses. The county commissioners work for US the people of Rockingham county something they seem to forget. Also our schools are already struggling with providing quality education. They are understaffed and overworked. Most of all the schools in the county are old as the hills. We will remember when it’s time for re election

Local infrastructure can not support this new development. We would be forced to move out of Madison if this is approved. Our road is a connector to town and would cause even more traffic than the redesign of Ellisboro and 220 North we have already experienced.

The county should follow reasonable development standards and begin to require conditional zoning for large scale developments. Approving this rezoning request simply kicks the can down the road as future residents of this great county will bear the unnecessary costs of such rampant development in unaffiliated rural communities.

We moved here for the rural aspect of life. Rezoning is taking away farmland and rural life. Everyone dosent need a giant city to live in. We still need farm land and smaller towns. We need infrastructure to change before we even think about rezoning. There’s so much background to do before that thought on top of just knowing we do not need nor want it!

I have lived in Rockingham County almost my entire life. I have been deemed disabled due to failed back syndrome and a recent brain bleed stroke, I cannot pay anymore than I am now. My taxes shouldn't go up because a billionaire development comes in and all they see is more billions in their pockets while all of us in this County can't or won't be able to handle more. Do the requested and do the surveys showing the impact this will have on our small community, please
