We urge everyone who cares about our future to stop OpenAI and remove its company completely before its expansion does more damage to our world. OpenAI is helping drive the rapid spread of AI systems and the huge datacenters that support them, and this growth is happening at a pace that many of us cannot accept.

These datacenters use enormous amounts of electricity and water, put pressure on local communities, and add to pollution and land use problems. AI itself also comes with serious costs: more energy demand, more hardware, more extraction of materials, and more waste. When one company keeps pushing this kind of growth without enough restraint, it is ordinary people who are left to carry the burden.

We are asking for a full stop to OpenAI’s expansion and for the company to be shut down. We do not want a future shaped by runaway AI and endless datacenter building. We want a livable planet, responsible use of resources, and a path that puts people and the environment ahead of corporate power.

The time to act is now. If we wait until the damage is obvious to everyone, it may already be too late.
