We are asking YouTube to make a separate ASMR section on the Explore page, like the sections for Music, Gaming, News, Sports, and Podcasts, and to stop placing ads in the middle of ASMR videos.
ASMR is meant to be calming. People watch it to relax, focus, or fall asleep. When a loud, obnoxious ad suddenly interrupts the middle of a video, it breaks that experience completely. It can jolt people out of the quiet mood they came for and make the whole video frustrating instead of helpful.
This is a simple fix that would respect both viewers and creators.
A dedicated ASMR section would make it easier for people to find the content they want, without having to search through unrelated videos. And if YouTube still needs to show ads, there are better places for them. Ads at the beginning or end of videos can still generate revenue without ruining the middle of the experience.
We are not asking YouTube to remove ads altogether. We are asking for common sense.
ASMR deserves a space where people can watch in peace, and YouTube should not turn a calming video into a surprise interruption.
Please create a separate ASMR section on the Explore page and keep ads out of the middle of ASMR videos.
