We moved up from Brisbane nearly two years ago and have had significant disruption to our sleep. It is affecting our mental health. Two problems: 1 Certain Council staff are unresponsive and slow to act 2. There are no consequences for the bad behaviour. You can put up all the signs you like but these offenders laugh at society because they know that they get away with it.
Solution: ANPR, noise, permanent speed cameras on several locations such as Alexandra Parade north and south of Buderim Ave

Constant speeding. I live on Second Avenue Maroochydore. Nobody obeys the speed limit. Including Memorial Rd. Aerodrome Rd. We need mobile or fixed speed cameras. I've been reporting this for years. What does it take before something is done.

I am kept awake at night in my unit in river Esplanade by hooning from foolish drivers.Particularly on Friday and Saturday nights. It would be great if the qps could fine them and impound their vehicles and motor bikes.

On Parkyn Pde it's also a huge issue! Every night of the week, as they pass the speed bump adjacent to Penny Lane, the hoons hit the accelerator and the exhaust noise is horrendous as it echoes off the surrounding apartment buildings. It's dangerous, it's irresponsible and it's got to stop. Over the past few years I've been in contact with Council Joe Natoli and spoken with Fiona Simpson but nothing gets done. THINGS HAVE TO CHANGE!!

We have an apt on the corner of Smith St and Brisbane Road, the amount of loud bikes and cars these last couple of years is horrendous, especially Friday through to Monday.

This is disturbing and affects everyone. This is worsened by the fact that you never see any form of law enforcement.
Surely, there must be some laws that limits the maximum noise permissable from a vehicle.

I’m sick and tired of the amenity of Mooloolaba being shattered by the attention-seeking behaviour of idiots!

Hooning and excessive noise from motorbikes and cars is a very big problem in the Mooloolaba precinct. Also a big problem in the Council owned multi level carpark as hoons like to rev their vehicles and the noise reverberates around the surrounding streets and apartment buildings. This happens day and night. Have made complaints to council & police without any results.

We have tried to engage the. Pencil
Many times about excessive motorbike gatherings and noise along Beach Terrace in Mooloolaba but no action has been taken. It is becoming unsafe for families to use due to the large number of bikes that park and gather in this area.

These vehicles are fitted with illegal aftermarket or illegally modified exhaust systems. Transport compliance should intervene with noise testing and impound or serve rectification notices on offending vehicles.

It really is all of the coast. Nicklin Way in the 100km zone near Caloundra Golf Course is a speedway every night. There is going to be a terrible accident there if something is not done to address the ever increasing hooning behaviour on the coast.

I suffered similar to this when the Toll Paza closed so not only appreciate the problem but can also hear it and have often wondered what the Police are doing. In my experience they do nothing claiming they are too busy.
