The noise is so loud we have to sit inside and sometimes close balcony doors. Luxury cars and bikes use artificial backfiring and noise enhancement features to create a sense of power externally. They have an external speaker.

As a business owner on the Esplanade I am increasingly concerned by the impact this type of hoon behaviour has on our businesses. People looking for an enjoyable night out will simply stay away and the cycle of value decline starts for residents, businesses and ultimately the council.

I request that the Sunshine Coast Council, as the designated Road Owner, acknowledge that we are facing two separate and distinct issues:
1. Excessive and Intentional Acceleration: High-powered motorbikes and vehicles frequently engage in heavy, deliberate acceleration. This occurs mainly in the westerly direction of traffic, partricularly "off" the speed inhibitor at the pedestrian crossing near Penny Lane. 2. Vehicle Speeding: Dangerous speeding remains a constant issue

The Hoons are around during the night only to disrupt your sleep and make your stay uncomfortable !!!

The unnecessary noise, particularly motorbikes late night on weekends, is annoying, disrespectful, and completely unacceptable in absence of any police at these times.

I strongly support this petition & the negative impact of current traffic noise & lack of road safety in Mooloolaba. These ongoing issues negatively affect not only local residents but also tourists visiting the area damaging the peaceful atmosphere, safety & overall family appeal of Mooloolaba. I urge the relevant authorities to take these concerns seriously & implement stronger enforcement measures to deter offenders so Mooloolaba can be a safe & enjoyable place for both residents & tourists.

As an Owner and visitor to the area
the noise is annoying.
I don't know if it puts people off from coming to the area but if there are options they might take the other option.

We live in Mantra Sirocco on Mooloolaba Esplanade and the motorbike and car goons have increased considerably since the foreshore redevelopment works. It is becoming an unfriendly place for families and locals alike and this is very upsetting.
