As a resident living near the intersection of Venning and the Esplanade, I will support any effort to limit the hoon activity. Visitors staying in our building complain of the constant noise. The excessive dangerous driving behaviour and speed impact the safety of children, pedestrians and all road users at this intersection.

The constant excessive noise is unbearable at times we all feel like prisoners in our own homes at night with windows and doors shut to try and block the noise but that doesn't even work , the QPS should be doing covert operations at night they would make a fortune in fines from all these meatheads driving and riding around with nothing better to do .

The beautiful surroundings along the coastline that are interrupted by excessive loud vehicles trying to infiltrate the serenity especially at the junction of Buderim Avenue & Alexander Headland.

The problem with excess noise has been ongoing and spoils the amenity of what is an otherwise very well maintained esplanade. The council and ratepayers have invested a great deal in improvements to this oceanfront only to have it constantly marred by “hoons”.

We live in Foote St and have a local business and the Excessive noise from vehicles, motorcycles in our area is just rediculous. It impacts visitors and locals wanting to enjoy our beautiful part of the Sunnycoast!

We have an apartment in Mooloolaba and this has been a problem since we first came here in 2001. Motor bikes with very loud exhaust going around the cars parked near the surf club late at night is disturbing. The area should be closed to traffic.

The noise generated by these idiots screeching around Burnett Street, the Esplanade and Parkyn Parade not just after dark but throughout the weekends is detracting from Mooloolaba ever achieving its tourism potential. Our exorbitant council rates need to be better managed to design practical and material measures (increase pedestrian only traffic) to ensure we ratepayers do not have to endure this antisocial behaviour. Policing also needs to be dramatically improved as a financial deterrent.

Owner of unit32 Osprey - this problem has been bad since my parents owned the unit - back in the 90s - every year it gets worse as motor-hoons have les & less consideration & civility! ENFORCMENT is needed ( 10 years ago!!!) … weekends are horrific -as an owner who visits in November-December I rage at the lack of enforcement already on the books - loud exhaust controls -annual vehicle inspections etc a-holes who have special switches to deliberately make LoUD exhaust noises should be heavily

The screaming noise for cars and motorbikes taking off from the lights drives me crazy! The speed limit should be reduced to 40km’s along Alex parade before someone is killed.

We rent in marina walk ,council placed parking signs to stop parking after 8 pm to stop people partying and doing burnouts etc but council do not monitor it after 5pm so nothing has changed and the loud music and noise goes on until the early hours. We are shifting out because of this and council needs to act

I’m 100% behind action to clean up the hooning - speeding, burnouts, lapping, ridiculously loud exhausts and stereos - between Mooloolaba and Maroochydore (inc. Alexandra Headland), particularly at night and on the weekends. I was making complaints about this to authorities 25-30 years ago. My adult son is now living in my unit and is experiencing the same issues. Repeated blitzes and changes in road design are needed, not lip service & RBTs on Alex hill in the middle of the day in Tuesdays.

While holidaying regularly on the Mooloolaba Esplanade near the Buderim Avenue intersection my family and I have experienced appalling incidents of crashes caused by out of control hooning. This is an outcome of the desire of drivers and motor bike riders to compete to show their dominance over other road users, with no consideration of the risk to pedestrians, cyclists and other beachgoers. Making the maximum noise is guaranteed to spoil the experience of the beachfront for everyone else.

The noise detracts from the area, it needs to be addressed.
