The noise on this corner is excessive. For a beautiful holiday location it’s really a disincentive to come back. It’s especially bad on a regular basis with many motorbikes and cars that are clearly exceeding the legal sound limits for vehicles. I think if you start fining those who are illegally breaking the law then things will change quickly… and you can use their money to support the community and tourism.

The excessive noise from motorbikes and loud cars is a constant disturbance to the peaceful Mooloolaba environment.

As a frequent visitor to Mooloolaba it never ceases to amaze me the daily noise level of hooning on the esplanade strip. It is noise pollution and is constant. It is well overdue for something to be done to cease this behavior.

We live on first avenue and I am walking this way several times a day with my 3 year old. I always worry about people driving too fast around that corner at the intersection and the loud noise rattles both our nervous systems constantly!

Due to the excessive noise it is regrettable that whilst on holiday in paradise (Mooloolaba) one cannot sit out on the balcony and enjoy the view. Can more police patrol be enforced to stop the speeding & revving of cars and motorbikes up and down the Esplanade and into Venning Street. It is getting worse.

We were up a month ago and I mentioned to my wife how Mooloola had changed in the four years we'd owned a unit. I was specifically talking about noisy cars.

This issue impacts safety, as pedestrians are often almost hit in the crosswalk. Also, this often happens deep into the night impacting sleep.

We visit each year and Friday and Saturday nights are definitely much noisier. Motorbikes and cars. It does spoil our visit to Mooloolaba. It was once a quiet seaside holiday venue.

The streets which a heavily populated with people, families and children are becoming unsafe due to the disruptive behaviour of motorists. It is also impacting Mooloolaba and its reputation for tourism with visitors as been an unsafe and noise holiday destination. Impacting our reputation and visitor income economy.

We live in Victoria (Torquay) but spend 6 months a year on the Sunshine Coast at Mooloolaba. In so many respects it is a wonderful environment for locals and holiday makers, however the major issue for us is the loud noise and speeding by motorbikes and hotted up vehicles which dramatically impinges on our quiet enjoyment of this lovely place. It gets worse at night and makes it very difficult to enjoy our balcony. Many visitors are planning not to return because of this issue which is sad.

I believe more needs to be done to address this ongoing issue. Excessive noise and dangerous driving has been getting worse every year. Locals and visitors should be able to enjoy this beautiful, relaxing part of Australia without constant noise and roads treated like a raceway!! More active Police would be a start!
