Our family has been coming to Mooloolaba for the last 7 years, we regard it as out "happy place". Over years we have seen the excessive noise and speeding from motor bikes and cars increase each year. The safety of pedestrians and continual disruption day and night in this area is a major concern. Mooloolaba has lost its relaxed / peaceful vibe and we are now considering whether we return next year.

I have Unit 6 at Northwind appartments and the road noise is excessive due to speed.

It is SO LOUD! They are out of control, please put some speed humps on the esplanade or at least some cops or a camera to catch and fine the idiots.

apart from the safety issue of Hooning issue, the Noise factor and congestion of Traffic. The impact can also effect resale value of the. units in the suffonding area.
council fees are not cheap when you one a unit in the area.Plus the amougt of foot traffic during the holidays it may cause accidents with the way people drive n the coast. Road safety is not of a high standard

These issues have been a problem for many years and are only getting worse. Safety of pedestrians and the quiet enjoyment of occupants of the surrounding buildings must be put above the road users.

The noise from vehicles, be it cars or motorbikes, impacts not only safety of locals and visitors, but sleep quality which in turn impacts the mental health of those living and holidaying in the area.

The hoons especially start ting on the weekends are simply unbearable. It seems they think they are bulletproof because there seems to be no police presence to stop them. Would welcome any action to put a stop to these hoons. Whatever happened to roadside vehicle inspections to ensure vehicles are legal.

This issue is important to me personally because I live and work in this area and see the impact of excessive traffic noise and dangerous driving behaviour on our community on a regular basis. As a father, the safety of children, pedestrians and all road users is a priority for me, and I believe our local streets should feel safe for families at all times of the day and night.
From a hospitality perspective, I also see the significant impact this behaviour has on the experience of visitors stay
