I own and live in a unit on the Esplanade between Venning and Buderim Ave. The noise as described has become a very real issue and is getting worse. Towards being intolerable.

Hooning and hard acceleration create excessive noise that would not be tolerated elsewhere.

We have a home in the area and cannot believe the level of noise after being away for a year.

The deliberate hooning and engine revving noise on the Esplanade has been a problem for a very long time and is getting worse. At night it is very disturbing and it is impossible to have a pleasant dinner with normal conversation. It is very disruptive for those living or holidaying along this part of the road.

I own a property at 125 The Esplanade Mooloolaba and spent several weeks of the year occupying it.
For many years the noise along the Esplanade has been unacceptably loud at certain times. The peaceful seaside amenity has been ruined by unnecessarily loud drivers eg "hoons".
I would endorse measures being implemented to control this noise.

People visit and live in Mooloolaba for it's stunning beaches, facilities, views and the relaxed lifestyle it offers. The excessive noise and hazard the said road users create, poses a real threat to pedestrian safety and the appeal that Mooloolaba is renowned for. Money has been poured into facilities to create a community for families and all to enjoy, now lets focus on making it as safe and noise free as possible for everyone that visits and lives within the community to maintain its appeal.

The noise is unbearable at times, particularly motorbikes speeding up the road and modified cars. This often becomes worse over Friday nights and weekends. To cross the road at the intersection of Venning St and Mooloolaba Esplanade has become unsafe. Motorists will speed down the esplanade, running the lights as pedestrians cross the road.

We are the property managers for Raffles Mooloolaba, and our customers love the area and the complex but the number 1 compliant is the car and bike noise disturbing people sleeping. This is not normal car traffic but big bore exhausts and over revving

The excessive noise has spoiled the relaxed and peaceful vibe of beautiful Mooloolaba. It’s very disappointing.

The noise is becoming appalling. As regular holidayers to Mooloolaba we are starting lose our enjoyment of the area due to the noise.

Unit owner of a holiday and family unit. The noise level of the hooning with both motor cycles and cars has gotten increasingly worse over the last year plus. It makes it hard to enjoy our balconies or leave sliders open. Our renters are complaining about this and it will impact our rental tenancy. Cars and bikes are also coming down the road at increasing speed. The cross walk signal is very short and one day someone will get hit by a car. Hopefully it doesn’t take a tragedy to address these.

Increased noise has become a serious problem. Traffic volume and speed has made the area unsafe for pedestrians, many of whom are children and the elderly.
