I’m so sick of the loud noises and the speeding from modified cars & motorbikes who are disrupting our peace & quite around the Mooloolaba ( Walan St ) & Maroochydore area. These hoons need to be dealt with now as it is getting worse because they know they are getting away with it.

Excessive noise from cars & motorcycles, particularly illegal modified exhausts, is a growing problem across Mooloolaba & Maroochydore. Constant loud exhausts, revving and speeding are seriously disrupting residence’s & visitors. An immediate policing blitz is needed, offenders should face fines & defect notices, with repeat offenders subject to vehicle impoundment & compliance inspections. A small minority should not be allowed to destroy the peace & enjoyment of the Sunshine Coast community

The excessive noise from cars and in particular modified motorcycles has become a constant annoyance to both locals and visitors. Having breakfast on the Esplanade to the sound of a revving engine is not enjoyable! Attention seeking at its finest.

We live on the corner of Meta and Esplanade Mooloolaba and they are extremely noisy all day and night long. We cannot have fresh air in our apartment as we have to close the doors whilst watching TV or having a conversation.

I am Signing because of the excessive noise of bikes and cars on the Sunshine Coast. I was in Mooloolaba recently with my grandchild and someone on a Harley Davidson cracked it loudly & purposely all the way along the esplanade, my granddaughter woke up screaming. I also have experienced sleep disruption living in Sippy Downs. The Harley Davidson’s and the loud cars wake everyone up even though we need to wear earplugs!

As an owner of an apartment in The Coco Resort, I am very concerned about negative comments from guests regarding the noise and danger from anti-social driving behaviour in the immediate vicinity of the Mooloolaba
Esplanade and Venning Street intersection (from Buderim Ave to Venning Street, and from the Esplanade to Walan Street). This disruptive activity occurs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week - more so at late evening and night - with a significantly heightened and unbearable presence on Friday

We have apartment 703 Breeze.
1 Meta Street. The noise from Motor Bikes and Hoon drivers is certainly excessive. We are incredulous about the lack of enforcement of road rules and noise pollution. Harley Davidson Motorbikes and Busses are amongst the worst offenders. Made especially bad by the fact that it is an uphill inclined to the traffic lights. We feel that a series of road humps and sound activated enforcement cameras may be the only answer and to demand faster electric bus rollout.

As a resident, this is highly disruptive and unsafe for pedestrians, notably with a car already driving straight into a restaurant.

The redirect of traffic via the Esplanade and down Venning St has increased this issue significantly. Although it was already deteriorating. Excessively loud exhausts on cars and motorbikes is creating a nuisance problem and disrupting the lives of residents and tourists to Mooloolaba. Drivers/riders use this area to ‘hoon’ and the buildings amplify the sound their vehicles make which is why it’s become the ‘go to’ spot. Particularly bad on Fri-Sun.

Street noise on the balcony is excessive; it leads to closing the door and reducing the sea breezes.
