Any time after 5.30 pm on any day the noise from cars and motorbikes is excessive at the corner of the Esplanade and Venning Streets. It seems that they like to put the foot down at the corner both ways up the hill and down around Venning Street past Coles! Many pedestrians in this area, and never any police! The potential for disaster is high!

Because I cannot sleep with my windows open at night. The drag racing from the lights on Brisbane road and the circuit racing around the parking structure next to Avani are too loud. If these vehicles had legal exhaust systems it wouldn’t be as noticeable

The noise in Mooloolaba has definitely increased since the car park was built and the roads changed. Hooning in the car park from bottom to top is non stop at all times of day and night, sometimes groups of vehicles. We ask the top 5 levels be closed off by boom gate after 8pm daily to act as a deterrent. Holidays and events could be different. The speeding of motorbikes and vehicles around the streets especially on Smith and Whalan street is incessant. There are more residents in Mooloolaba now

Been living on the corner or smith st and Walan st for years now and the traffic noise is ridiculous. It’s like a race track all night long.

As a business owner and investment owner in Mooloolaba, we are attracting holiday makers to the area to enjoy the beautiful local area. Excessive vehicle noise and hoon behaviour is directly affecting our businesses and investment income. Council, please take this petition seriously.

Every Friday and Saturday nights along the fish markets and pacific Boulevard the noisy bikes and cars make for disturbance and break the peace.

The noise is at a ridiculous level. One wonders why the perpetrators have been able to get away with it for so long.

The noise and speeding at night and over the weekend is over the top. It needs urgent intervention to stop this road being treated as a speedway between traffic lights. Police can earn its monthly budget in speeding fines and unroadworthy vehicle fines in one week

This excessive car & motorbike engine noise is very disturbing & significantly degrades the social amenity of the area as well as impacting the safety for families & others in the streets.
