The manner of operation and the noise levels of these modified vehicles far exceed normal levels and psychologically affect people. Inconsiderate displays at all hours disturbs the tranquillity of this area of the Sunshine Coast. Ban these noisy contraptions from the the road network.

Because I live in Walan Street, Mooloolaba. And ihere this noise go on every day. Weather it cars motor bikes, or sometimes even the local buses. 50 km hour zone, and some these people are definitely not doing that speed.
Good to see someone is trying do something about it. 🫶

Illegally modified motorbikes are the worst. The exhaust noise from these things is 10 times as bad as even heavy vehicles trucks and other loud cars.
This happens in Buderim also - up Dixon Road and down Mooloolaba Road. Any time of day or night these motorbikes can be heard from kilometres away and are incredibly disruptive to both sleep and everyday activities TMR needs to work with Queensland police to clamp down on these vehicles impound them and crush them like they do for illegal e-bikes.

We have a rental property at Raffles 65-69 First Ave. Getting many negative online reviews for traffic noise. This is negatively effectiving customers from returning to property and staying in Mooloolaba on their next visit. Others reading online reviews may also decide not to stay at our accomodation or visit mooloolaba.

Growing up on this road and experiencing the noise has always been disruptive both to my grandparents and while we’re on holiday! We should reduce the noise immediately

It is hard to sleep due to the noise and it’s very unsafe as cars are going very fast.

As a resident, much of the noise from my home in Foote St is due to;
- poor intersection design: noise, traffic, and pollution increased significantly - roundabout was replaced by stop traffic lights/ lack of flow through design. &
converting the street into the main thoroughfare to the wharf, with insufficient capacity to handle the flow of traffic.
- Council buses contribute by far the loudest source of noise, due solely by the manner of operation.
- hooning is an issue late night.
