Cyber bullying and other phone related issues will not dissapear with a phone ban, students will find a way regardless and personel CANNOT avoid that, rather than resteicting everyone, use it to educate them ! This is not a fair policy for all students.

I signed this petition because we are high school students, not prisoners we deserve to be trusted with our own phones and basic bodily needs.

Not Telling

I am not letting personal family situations being told to me by staff members. We need our phones to talk to our parents about personal information. If we lock our phones up in little locker and there is a fire or something what then? We going to leave it there ? We need clock times period changes en need to communicate with our parents. The School is thinking that if they take phones away we all will become one big "friend group" but it will be the opposite. There will be more bullying.

My dogter moet soms vir my wag na skool aangesien ek haar moet kom haal in werks tye en nie altyd betyds daar kan wees nie. Sy het haar foon nodig sodat ek met haar kan reelings maak. When we have to learn, the teachers post everything on our phones, on team… so why take it away? When we talk in class the teachers yells at us, when we are on our phones, they yell at us. And lets be real. They yell more at us, because we are talking to eachother, and nit because we are on our phones. And how will i pay for tuckshop? Its a lot safer to use your phone to pay, than a credit card, and a lot easier not to lose! Teachers also communicate with us in school. So why take it away?…

Most students don't even use their phones even in break. Only the naughty rulebreakers do and all of a sudden everyone gets punished. And even when everyone is on their phones the silence is so loud that bullying gets deafened.
