Devil’s Creek is one of the most wonderful natural areas full of nature and biodiversity that we have had the pleasure and privilege of enjoying since becoming Cambridge residents. Every time that we use the trail we are reminded of how powerful and mind healing that nature is and how it is such an important part of our lives. Let it remain as is so future generations will have the same pleasures. It is the wrong place for any future developments to ever be considered.

It is extremely important to protect the Devil’s Creek watershed which is directly in line with this proposed development. The natural area encompassed by the creek and wet lands are precious and essential to Cambridge and its residents.

This is an area that is too ecologically sensitive and important to turn a blind eye to. I fail to understand how any study would show otherwise. Salt, oil and garbage from this development would without a doubt seep into the wetlands and destroy the habitat and clean water flowing into the Grand River. I’m also assuming that both the GRCA and the First Nations people have been consulted in all this. It is time both the City and Council listened to the people.
