We need to stop world hunger, and one simple step is to start fishing and share what we catch with people who need food, and keep extra to make into delicious meals for the whole family!
Fishing is a practical way to help bring fresh, nutritious food to our communities. It can provide meals that are easy to share, prepare, and enjoy in many different ways, from sushi and sandwiches to tacos and cakes. A short fishing trip can turn into real help for families who are struggling to put food on the table.
This idea also speaks to people of faith. In Luke 5:1-11, fishing is shown as something meaningful and blessed, with a great catch made possible through God’s help. That reminder matters: when we work together and use what the earth gives us wisely, we can care for one another in a very real way.
We call on our community to make fishing part of the answer to hunger. Let’s encourage people to fish, share, and donate what they can. Let’s support efforts that get healthy food to poor people and children who need it most. Fish such as salmon can be especially useful because they are filling and can be used in many meals.
Help us build a future where more people have food on their table. Let’s start fishing to help stop world hunger.
