HELP USC Increase Overfishing Awareness
Calling all Trojans!
Let's work together to help save the world's fisheries by increasing awareness of overfishing across campus. By signing this petition, you will take the first step in making USC a more sustainable place. If you have ever eaten salmon from Lemonade, ahi tuna sushi from Seeds, or fish tacos from Wahoo's, have you ever thought, "Where did this fish come from?" Odds are, it came from an unstable fishery in the Pacific Ocean that is in danger of collapsing entirely by 2050. Bluefin tuna (commonly known as ahi) is already listed as an endangered species. That is why this petition comes at a critical time - it is up to US to enact change, starting with our university.
Once completed, this petition will be sent to USC Hospitality. We hope to one day soon have proper labeling of all seafood products sold on campus informing consumers where the item came from, how it was caught, and what level of sustainability its fishery is at.

SPREAD the WORD to help USC Increase Overfishing Awareness!
I have been reading through the comments on this page and the passion you all have for our oceans is truly humbling. A lot of you are asking the right questions about where our campus food actually comes from and that curiosity is exactly what will drive this forward.

I am honestly stunned to see how many people care about our oceans as much as I do. This momentum belongs entirely to the community that stepped up to help. It feels like we are actually building toward something real here.

Honestly had no idea about the bluefin tuna situation. We need better info about what we are buying at the dining halls.

Finally!! People eat this stuff every single day without a clue where it comes from. Just label the food so we can make better choices.
