Been a loyal customer for 4 years and spend 5 months in fiji each year and remainder or year at home. Very expensive and hard to justify. If this is the price for being a loyal customer I will be changing back to fibre at home and local data cell data in fiji.

We won’t be buying starlink anymore if this is the new price structure. Which is disappointing as we have always thought it was incredible. We set sail in May and it is extremely disappointing.

A 200% increase per gig off shore? Not reasonable or fair. It is basically using a captive market to drive profits. If you did this on land or on the coast people would go back to cell phone providers.

Because while we acknowledge starlink is listening, $185US = $406 Fijian is nearly double what I am currently paying. This is on top of a rise on the cost nearly every month that we have had starlink - not bad when we only signed up in February 2026.
Most families like us who live aboard their boat are not rich.

The price started at €59 now it’s at €89, and soon it will go up to $189. It’s becoming financially difficult for most people to keep up. Owning a boat doesn’t mean you’re rich.

starlink is used as a safety net in the modern cruising fraternity, many of whom sail on a small budget, this will effectively limit that safely to only the wealthier amonst us.

I'm a cruisng sailor needing a reliable, reasonably priced service. Cost is a big consideration for a limited budget. Starlink was my go too. But this new pricing has me considering my choices.
