We hope to go sailing soon and we are on a budget. We are no different to RVs?

It is important to me because our family comprises lifelong cruisers.

Well, I think they are going in the right direction. I was a fool and followed their rules, so I paid for Global Roam ($400/mo). So, the new one is way cheaper for me. And the $6/gb while offshore is no big deal, you're not watching movies in the middle of the ocean. Feel sorry for those cruisers on a 41+ foot boat, which there are many.

We love Starlink connectivity for planning, communications and most of all weather planning and safety at sea. We have budgeted for our anticipated travel expenses and are finding the changing Starlink plan structures and costs challenging. The price increases since signing up with Starlink 3 years ago are well above expected and are happening frequently. We would love to remain customers if the pricing changes are reconsidered

Starlink is essential for many cruisers on the Island Cruising Pacific Rally - to enable them to get weather, support when issues arise, keep in touch with friends & family. The constant changing plans and terms and conditions makes it difficult for people to plan and budget accordingly. We love Starlink and access to the internet at sea and would love it to be cost effective.

Totally unaffordable and will need to find other options
Angry that a Starlink made this part of our life and then attempts to price gouged us

For many long-term cruisers and people who live aboard their boats full-time, Starlink is far more than a service for convenience or entertainment. As we spend extended periods sailing between different countries and often operate far beyond reliable mobile phone coverage, Starlink is frequently our most important – and sometimes our only – reliable connection to the outside world for: up-to-date weather forecasts and storm warnings, maritime safety alerts, official warnings + emergency contacts

My boat is 49'.
It's ridiculous that I can not apply for the new plan because of that.

a 300% price increase for Gb offshore is really too much. We will have to reduce our usage of Starlink.

Avec ce nouveau tarif, j’arrête mon abonnement. J’utilise des cartes SIM et j’attends avec impatience la Conccurence.
