We sail offshore and have a limited budget. This pricing model is just not sustainable

Only for boats up to 40 feet. That excludes minimum 80% of the bosts in real world

I would also suggest to cancel the length Limit of 40 feet because most couples sail Beats within 40 to 48 feet.

The Personal Maritim Tarif is only for boots up to 40ft. For bigger boats it is even much more expensive!

I am living full time on my boat traveling between Europe and the Caribbean. I have installed Starlink half a year ago and very happy that it is working well.
Starlink offer a great service and I appreciate that they come up with a Tarife that is custom made for people like me. Just the price is too high, compared to global eSIMs.
With this price politic I am sadly will have to go back to this old technology and use Starlink only where I don’t get reception, and this will not happen very often

Starlink is superb. But with its cost going up that much, it's getting difficult to justify versus the old style, less convenient but functional and predictably priced options.

Owning a boat doesn't mean you are rich, it's just another lifestyle where you trade the monthly rent for constant maintenance costs and marina fees.

It's not fair to rise the price so often and in such big steps.

It feels a bit like extortion that after paying for the hardware and having a reasonably priced service this is pretty much taken away and replaced with a far more expensive service. The 200% increase in offshore data is just ridiculous.
I think they should introduce a tiered subscription. Not everyone needs unlimited data.
Amazon LEO should be an option for sailors in the next 12-18 months, so it's an interesting decision for X to start alienating customers!

As a liveaboard together with my husband sailing the World outside of our home country Germany/EU we use Starlink for wheather informations, hurricane apps and other safety informations and also for all other communication (authorities, clearance issues, family, friends, sailing communities ...). The new pricing would put a lot of stress into our pockets, communication and safety.

Reliable Internet off shore is no longer optional, but essential for weather forecasting and emergency communications. Steep price increases will make Starlink unaffordable.

Fair and reasonable prices for safety should be the norm.
Safety on the ocean
Cruising sailors need alternatives
We are sailing, starting next year on the Atlantic and need reliable connectivity, especially for weather and safety reasons.
