Renewing the Call for Integrity; Why Conronting NCI Still Matters
--July 2026. This petition below continues the ongoing, international call since 2012 for the organizations and people affected by the Nordic Capital Investment KB (NCI) fraud to share and help uncover the truth—to transparently and verifiably disclose. Act with integrity. Those "affected" include current and past staff, leaders, board members, victims, etc.) There must be zero tolerance for corruption and its cover ups, complicity, and cowardice. The Integrity Petition (2012—current/2026)
This petition is a call to many organizations and people, especially in the church and mission community (CMC), to assist by transparently and verifiably disclosing how they have been affected by Nordic Capital Investment KB fraud (NCI). In addition, members of these organizations (including past and present staff, leaders, Boards), donors, partners and the public are asked to help by respectfully and resolutely calling for the assistance of those affected by NCI.
NCI was set up in 1992 and began to be publicly confronted in 2007. An important part of it was successfully prosecuted in Sweden (2010-2011) and declared to be a longstanding fraud. Only one person was prosecuted and imprisoned, however--a Swedish man. There are thousands of pages of court documents (available to the public in 2010-2011) that shed light on the far broader aspects of this international fraud. Millions of euros and dollars are still missing. See the core materials/links on this site for more information.
Corruption such as the NCI KB fraud does not simply go away on its own, over time, by ignoring it, or by keeping silent. All of us can and must act with integrity--the consistent, highest level of moral wholeness. And we can and must hold our organizations and leaders accountable to do the same. This petition is a key tool to help.

The theme this year for Global Integrity Day is "Breaking the Bonds of Exploitation: Solidarity Against Corruption and Crime. See the site for more information and resources including two spotlighted resources: 1) Leadership for Public Integrity course and 2) Global Anti-Corrution Training Platform. https://www.globalintegrityday.com/ --Global Integrity Day (GID) is a POSITIVE day, launched on 9 June 2020, to reflect, teach, and collaborate on ways to integrate integrity in all we do throughout the entire year. --GID is a STARTEGIC day to promote a) cultivating lifestyles, cultures, and systems of integrity from the individual through the international levels; b) joining together to understand and address the causes and consequences of corruption in its many forms; and c) working towards just and equitable societies marked with wellbeing for all people and for the planet. --GID is also a SOLEMN day to consider our ways: if we are lying and/or stealing in any way big or small, then we need to stop it. If we need to right a wrong we have done, then do so. If we need to prudently confront wrongdoing, preferably in solidarity with colleagues for mutual support and greater impact, then do so." I encourage people to look at the documents and ongoing resources on the PETRA People sites. It is never too late to act with integrity and confront corruption.
