Parent of Terra students. Traffic is crazy when school lets out. For kids who walk or ride bikes it’s scary because the traffic is going 35 while they let out.

I’ve seen first hand the way that people speed and drive down Aggie Blvd. Whenever myself or someone else is trying to cross the road to walk to the church across the street no one slows down, no one stops. There’s absolutely no reason that that road should be 35 in such an active and busy school zone. Especially a school that has children of all ages coming and going in the early morning and afternoon with no buses and x3 more traffic than any other one of the schools in the area.

Our children go to Terra. We started when the school started. We do not understand why this is such a hard subject. Being a part of Vernal Utah we should be able to have our kids be safe. Every single school in Vernal have these rights. To have posted signs and safe cross walks to be able to keep their kids safe. We are asking for rights that should have been afforded us when the school started. Please help us understand why we have to sign a petition to be able to get this worked out.

My daughters go to this school and the traffic on this road is scary and chaotic. Students and parents on their way to the highschool are flying down this road with no regard to the safety of the children. I’ve seen students who are afraid to cross even in the crosswalk because drivers are not paying attention. The speed is far too high on this road and there’s absolutely no signage to demonstrate to drivers that there is a school located on this street. This is a very serious issue

I have personally witnessed children that have almost been hit in the crosswalk right here, I have called the police and nothing is ever done about it. People speed all the time with no regard to the safety of the children, they are not watching for children. This is an issue that needs immediate attention, especially with the new trail behind the school being put in. The trail will encourage more traffic putting the children at risk further without proper signage.
