It’s common sense, yes you only need fire service when there is an emergency but if it’s you in the emergency then thank God they are there

I oppose local / community Fire Station closures as you cannot call reduction in response times and detrimental service provision " modernisation " . Poor word rinse from chief officers and politicians . On the subject of costs , there is always extra cash available at council and national levels for whatever is deemed a requirement by those holding the purse strings . Please sign this petition . Your house and Family safety are worth it ?

Do Not agree with this closure, it is not in the interest of the community's safety to close the only fire station we have in the area.

What you lose you won't get back, public and firefighter safety will suffer.

Another closure of fire station will cost lives. Absolutely disgusted by plans to cut services again especially now there seems an increased need for more rather than less.

The loss of this vital local service will put public safety at risk with the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service themselves calculating that this closure will lead to longer response times for local residents.

Whilst I use fire, I do respect its destructive capabilities.

Closing station puts ares at risk with fire crews having to travel longer to incidents we should be supporting their service not closing it

Scandalous cuts to sell the land for more private housing. Everyone makes money but the local people suffer due to a reduced service with a full minute minimum added to the fire engine arriving from Cowcaddens. Lets hope that minute isn’t a minute between life and death as that is what this closure really mean for the people of Yorkhill and Anderston.

This will cost lives. The Scottish Government is obviously having a laugh. No doubt after someone's parents, siblings and children die in a fire they will point out that they get free prescriptions.

At a time when there is more student accommodation and private dwellings being built it is complete madness to reduce fire cover for this area.

We stay in a block of flat.. last year there was a fire in one of our block. Luckily the fire service came on time and is only the floor above and the floor below that is affected. If the fire service is further afield the damaged could have been substantial and might even cost life.
