Fires are still very much a thing we need to endure and shutting this fire station is sheer negligence from the Scottish Government. They are putting more people's lives at risk. They should be opening more fire stations not shutting them down.

It is a matter of life and death to have afire station near enough deal with a fire before it gets out of hand. I am amazed that a decision to close this fire station has been made after the recent appalling fire in Glasgow which got out of hand so quickly. There are more disasters waiting to happen

It's dangerous enough being a fire fighter and having to drive at high speeds to manoeuvre traffic to reach incidents as quickly as possible without closing any station. This action would be adding additional pressure on fire crews to go even faster risking their own and pedestrians lives to get somewhere that is even further away due to cuts before they even reach the fire. Not to mention the additional negative impact on mental health due to the extra pressure of will they get there on time.

If one of the busiest fire houses can get done like this what is stopping any others going down

We can’t afford to lose fire stations, they are a vital resource.

These services need to be kept open, the loss of these services could lead to the loss of lives by longer waiting times in emergencies. Local communities need a fire station, don't close this down.

Firestations such as this are vital to local communities and we need to hold on to this hugely important resource to fully protect our communities. This proposed closure would put pressure on an already pressurised fire service and would reduce a service we all rely on. This should not be allowed to happen. This firestaion is very much needed.

Shocking the amount of cuts they’re making. You can’t put a price on life and these extra closures only risk us further - especially in one of the busiest areas with uni accommodations and music venues it seem ludicrous to remove an important pump.

Fire & rescue officers do so much more than fight fires. We need all these stations to ensure the local communities are protected and on hand in an emergency.
