This must and should not happen- shame on the Scottish government putting lives and communities at risk. Glasgow has had devastating impact with fires in recent years. To compromise the people, places and infrastructure in this way is a travesty.

Yorkhill Fire Station is a vital part of the local community and its closure would put unnecessary pressure on neighbouring stations, increasing response times when every second can matter. Public safety and emergency services should not be where savings are made. Please keep Yorkhill Fire Station open and properly resourced for the communities that depend on it.

Sufficient fire cover within built up areas are very important to ensure rapid deployment of proper resources. Every second counts... closure of this station will decimate the fire cover in this areas. Adjoining stations will not afford the existing fire cover.
