These beautiful views of the harbour should be enjoyed by everyone. These large scale apartment buildings are a blight to our community

The proposed development is an abomination - a monument to greed, ugliness and lack of empathy for local heritage and environment

Our infrastructure can’t cope now
What will it be like after all these developments are occupied?

It is incredibly important to maintain the rich history and heritage of Mosman. Over many decades Mosman Council has developed control planning to ensure all people, residence and visitors, enjoy the unique qualities of this very old suburb. Please ensure that the current land grab by developers stops.!! we want Mosman to remain a vibrant suburb which is not destroyed by excessive unwarranted development. The proposed developments will do nothing to improve affordable housing.

if we don't preserve Mosman Slopes we destroy a place where so many elderly have called home for years. How can we take away something so precious to this community when it doesn't even solve the larger problem at hand. AFFORDABLE HOUSING This is a developer benefit and an insult to the very problem it is trying to solve

I am objecting to the size/ volume of the proposed buildings. I am not opposed to development, if that development is in keeping with the surrounding buildings and streetscape.

I am signing this petition because the Mosman community is being sacrificed by the Minns Labour Government for political point scoring.
Under the guise of laws introduced to build affordable housing, developers are demolishing affordable housing and replacing it with multi million dollar properties that only multi-millionaires or overseas investors are able to afford.
The low income and retired population is being forced out of their homes and small units to make money for greedy developers.

I have lived just around the corner in Redan St for over 50 years and use Upper Almora to reach Military Road. Such a development will increase the already clogged traffic and exacerbate the already difficult Almora Military Road intersection.
If Mosman needs to provide +/- 5000 more homes there needs to be an improvement in traffic management. A tunnel for the northern beaches to ease the already clogged Spit and Military roads.
Also the developments to be confined near to these roads close to

It is unimaginable that there could ever be such a ridiculous development proposal for the proposed site or any nearby sites. Surely these Balmoral slopes should be contained within the existing 8.5 metre height limit.. Such high rise developments should be confined to the ridge lines

This development is wrong in so many ways. Too big, too obstructive, too damaging and does nothing for affordable housing

this is one of the first of many development applications planned to totally destroy the atmosphere of heritage Mosman. It is totally inappropriate to be placed in the Mosman council protected area of the Balmoral amphitheatre of Redan Street - destroying outlooks for many residents - and those looking up from balmoral beach. Building such a HUGE monolith with floors of garaging below will disrupt & put in danger all neighbouring houses/traffic/access, etc.

I see this amazing view every Sunday as I end my long Sunday run down Almora Steet. I pinch myself how beautiful the view is out the heads. I genuinely look forward to it. It makes me smile. The view is iconic! Given this, please, please do the right thing and treat this site (and Balmoral slopes) as an ‘exception’ so it’s protected for future generations to enjoy.

We buy a house in a quiet street not anticipating large building blocks of units, some years later,to encroach on our views, peace and lifestyle with more noise, more traffic and a sense of crowding generally.

Overdevelopment is ignoring environment, heritage and community concerns as well as failing to improve infrastructure and consider transport and parking implications. Better planning is needed not quick planning which favours developers.

Once again the developers are dictating to government where they want to build and what they want to build. Judging by all the local high rise planned a priority seems to be water views. But these are only water views for the few who live in these expensive LUXURY apartments.
Water views should be for all who walk the streets and all Sydney residents who come here to visit the beach and many to look at the beautiful old homes.
This new planning initiative has little to do with affordable homes

This aspect is a reminder of the First Fleet’s sailing into Port Jackson. With all that has happened to Australia and the world since then.
