This development is nothing more than a cash grab under the guise of providing affordable housing. It segregates the ‘affordable’ people from the wealthy whilst offering it for a limited time only. In no sense is this a solution to affordable housing concerns.

There are more suitable locations for a development of this size to be located in the area

The loss of the beautiful aspect and view enjoyed by so many , walking down Upper Almora Street , will negatively affect so many people for whom a pleasant daily walk , with beautiful natural views , is vital for health , happiness and well being. The proposed building which will block this view , is totally out of character with the residential area .

The proposed development is completely in appropriate for the site and will have an enormous detrimental effect on the landscape and residential setting. This is a money making exercise for the developer and out of scope for the amenity of the area.

It is reprehensible that the public views on Balmoral slopes will be severely eliminated.

Views like this and space to breathe are for residents and visitors alike. Fighting the building of enormous blocks, in such unsuitable locations, is not NIMBYism, as is it is often labeled. Why would anyone want to obliterate one of Sydney's remaining views like this? Apart from the view, it would mean the loss of yet more of Mosman's historic homes being lost. It is utter insanity and most of us can see clearly that what is happening is not led by the concern of lack of affordable housing!

Our roads can not cope with the extra traffic that this building will produce. Other current infrastructure such as water, sewerage, and drainage will not cope with the extra load that this and other proposed high-rise developments will require. And of course the beauty of the Balmoral slopes will be destroyed by this and other proposed giant high-rise towers. Please do not allow this monster to be approved.

The LMR policy and the DAs lodged under the LMR will lead to the erosion of the community cohesion , introduction of more unaffordable housing and introducing community segragation (through the poor door). Indeed a sad state of affairs.

Mosman, like all suburbs of Sydney can be developed to help the housing crisis, but all developments must consider current owners and renters with regard to views and traffic implications, otherwise it will turn a beautiful suburb into a high rise jungle.

I believe views, public and private, should be protected and shared. I believe people when they purchase a home, should be able to rely on local LEP’s and Protection Zones. To allow massive development which overrides local council development rules, heritage designations and harbour foreshore protection zones is inequitable and should be unlawful.

We need to keep the character of the Balmoral slopes as much as possible. Buildings like the proposed development will remove the green lungs within the suburb and add to the already under pressure transport network. Property owners who have spent a great deal of money to buy their homes with a view and natural airflow will have their investments severely impacted by inappropriate blocks of apartments on the slopes.

Government should not be able to rush in & bulldoze over residents’ rights. It is a downright crime that government & council can allow & encourage developers to take away a resident’s views & spoil the neighbourhood all in the name of satisfying the government’s goal for increased housing.
No consideration at all is given to the residents.
