the proposal is completely out of scale for the area and would set a devastating precedent. the state governments approach is a one-size-fits-all and is leading to a money-grab by developers who only see ways to maximise profits and not the desired increase in affordable housing. the approach by developers so far, with the proposals in play at the moment, on the balmoral slopes and other places, is mindboggling for its cyncial approach to what is 'affordable' in this context. disgusting.

As I have lived in Earl Street for over 30 years, lived in Mosman for most of my life seen many changes this last
Master Plan will destroy the Mosman I grew up making just another suburb with no character, no personality and no history.

The view to and from Sydney Harbour is internationally important. The proposed development doesn't leave room for trees. Trees are are essential in the ever heating environment we suffer.

I am sympathetic with the genuine need for more affordable housing in Australia. But this is neither affordable housing, nor the sort of development that will assist most Australians. If anything, it will negatively affect the ordinary Australians who come to enjoy the views and experience of Balmoral Beach. It seems to me that greed - and the greed of a few - is the primary motivator for this development and as such, it ought to be rejected as not beneficial to the general public.

Sydney Harbour is the heart of Sydney. Its scale and foreshores character must be protected. Proposals such as this would destroy the existing balance.

Gross, inappropriate, politically inspired over development in areas that should be heritage listed, does not in any way provide affordable housing

Heritage is heritage, these houses were built in keeping with the Mosman area, allowing other people to have a view as well. Do you remember when it was the centenury and some of the older boats were moored at Balmoral Beach. Driving down Awaba Street to this view was spectacular, you could imagine how it was for the first settlers with the calm water of Balmoral. All will be built out if developers will get their way. Money Money

Because Mosman is one of the unique heritage suburbs of Sydney and its proection from the destriction of all that makes it unique is something worth fighting for - particularly when the destruction is fundamentally being driven by greed.
Even on a more practical front, it makes no sense to allow developers and politicians to control vital decisions about Mosman's existing and future infrastructure capacity to sustain the population assault that will emerge from the projected density.

Once gone , visitors to Mosman lose a precious reason for visiting Mosman. Being able to see afar, vistas of water , sunshine and bushland are good for our souls and the community's well being.

We need to preserve for the future generations what we have enjoyed, loved for so many years and where so many Australian have memories. If it is destroyed mostly for greed, it will be gone for ever. This is the Australian heritage. Many Australian go to Europe to enjoy history and culture, why destroy the Australian heritage.

The Minns government only cares to talk of numbers of properties built for developers. They don’t consider their “developer bonus’s” are being used to build multi million dollar properties first home buyers cannot afford on land that is above water tables. It is a grand experiment that will follow them after they are no longer in office.

Overdevelopment of this beautiful suburb would be a travesty that this state government is single handedly responsible for, unless we can stop it.

I strongly oppose this proposal. Mosman is one of Sydney’s most beautiful harbourside suburbs, valued for its natural beauty, low-rise character and iconic views. Developments of this scale permanently change the landscape and risk destroying the very qualities that make this area special — once lost, they cannot be replaced.
Mosman is already a densely populated area with congested roads and limited infrastructure. Further high-density development without the necessary investment in transport,

This petition is important to me for two reasons :
Firstly, the people who are going to be severely affected by an 8 storey block built in their neibourhood, destroying their precious view , the price of their property where most have lived for many years and the increased traffic in a quiet residential area.
Secondly, this is another example of what is happening in the Mosman/Balmoral area - no planning, no thought to this beautiful area.
Build near shops and transport and save our suburbs……

It is very important to keep the momentum going, especially now it appears that the media is finally getting on side and realising what a ridiculous policy which is only giving developers a windfall and not at all solving the housing and rental crises.

Spasmodic high rise in beautiful areas I liken to a lethal stab into a beautiful heart. Three blocks of high rise ..eg below Military road behind Volvo will create the slum area of Mosman. The suburb that we love will be destroyed.
