Destruction of beautiful countryside for yet more houses in a town that has had no substantial investment for years, how is it supposed to support this, money from recent new developments should be put back in to the pot.

Infrastructure necessary to support this development will be at a huge cost to local and county councils and will be an extra burden to them to provide more school places, more roads and parking and more healthcare. Building on green land should not be allowed. This is NOT a brownfield site.

It would be a terrible shame to build a small town of this size in a beautiful part of Somerset on prime agricultural land. Apart from the ugliness (it really won’t look like the toy town illustration) it will cause light pollution and so much more traffic. Where are the jobs for these people?

Somerset towns especially Taunton do not have the infrastructure to support any more large housing developments. Orchard Grove is only partially built and already Taunton is grid locked for through traffic, major problems with access to health and social services. What is fundamental is a housing strategy based on assessed local need with fully costed infrastructure implications. We can not have another massive housing development in Taunton.
