I was born and raised in Stoke St Mary and I have close family and friends living there. I believe that the proposed development will transform an area of very significant natural beauty into an urban sprawl that will negatively impact the environment and the lives/mental health of those that live in this beautiful part of rural Somerset. Furthermore, I question the transparency and overly hasty planning process which has not provided sufficient information or time to local residents to respond.

Another example of prime agricultural land being swallowed up in an area of Natural Outstanding beauty when there are many other Brown Field sites available. Putting more strain on the local infrastrcure and health care when it is already at breaking point.

It is a beautiful rural area, important as an area of beauty far the health of those who live there now. If developed it will be ancient land spoilt as it is now. A lung of clean air for a large population. Covered in concrete and tarmac is no way for such important rural countryside to die.
