1. The AONB of Thurlbear Woods and the Blackdowns need side surrounding area of open countryside to survive and develop.
2. Promises, not to develop on the south east side of the M5, should be kept.

No thought has gone into this, the size is ridiculous, wildlife that will be affected, local villages destroyed, and what about the farmers losing everything, shameful of Taylor wimpy.

This developement should not go ahead. Our countryside, wildlife and agricultural land is being destroyed. Taunton is being ruined and we are losing a way of life that the south west is famed for. Peaceful, relaxed, helathy. Excessive building should not be allowed and profit put before people.

More farmland being taken out of use when we should be using more brownfield sites. Where are all these people going to work, there are no jobs in Taunton and how will roads cope with this? Ridiculous

This proposed development is much, much too big! The whole valley will be ruined. It's a special area that you see as you come down the hill towards Taunton.

A development this size with no new infrastructure for the added traffic or people is ridiculous and the loss of green land and farm land. It’s greed from the developers

Our green spaces in Somerset are being decimated with data centres and developments. I am extremely concerned about our wildlife and rivers. Somerset has enough with Hinkley PC

This is prime agricultural land..its not for houses. I grew up in Shoreditch Road and Orchard Portman was my playground growing up. Its beautiful countryside and the Crown Estates sold it far too cheaply to developers.

Far too big and dense a development. Productive farmland should not be built over. We have to find other solutions.

I Iive on the B3170, this road and all around orchard Portman/ Thurlbear floods! The school even closes when it’s bad due to flooding.
Houses would need to be on stilts!
It’s an area of outstanding natural beauty.
We don’t want these houses It’s beautiful and unspoilt. We have 6 deer visit us in our field and walk down our drive. 4 Buzzards, owls, wood peckers, fox’s, badgers. Where are they to go? This is their land too. Hot air balloons fly over to see the view. Traffic is bad when M5 shuts
