This is an area of outstanding natural beauty with wildlife all around us . Some areas needs to be protected and this is one of them . It would be devastating and change this beautiful landscape forever.

Absolutely no way. I cannot believe this has been proposed. The property builders will be the only ones benefitting from this utter destruction of Blackdown Vale and must not be permitted under any circumstances.

This development is excessive, there is insufficient infrastructure to support it, and the sale of the land in the first instance, and the price it was sold for, needs investigation. This is scandalous.

I have a place in the Blackdown Hills. The M5 is already too busy around the area. There’s no infrastructure to take this many homes; Taunton itself is already impossible to park in. There’s no mobile phone service on the M5 or anywhere near AONB; the summer traffic is already at peak.

An area of outstanding natural beauty. About to be obliterated. No thought for the consequences to the future generations or the wildlife and farming, which is vital to the community. Infrastructure will be minimal at best and roads will become saturated in the surrounding area. Thurlbear will be over run and diminished by this proposed development.

Much too close to ancient woodland and Blackdown AONB. It is essential to protect our woodlands and natural habitats. Taylor Wimpey will only meet the bare essentials of building regs. They are unlikely to take into account current climate change or environmental protection any more than regulations require this will reduce profits for their shareholders.

It appears that existing infrastructure has not been considered properly and roads all around will become a chokepoint with insufficient expansion. This will cut me off from my place of work and areas of leisure. Building on mass on the areas of natural beauty should not be permitted as rural areas, greenland's and forests are our only remaining defence against climate change which has become vastly apparent in the extreme weather of 2026.

Taunton Vale is an area of unspoilt countryside with abundant wildlife. Building on this land will destroy this environment for future generations permanently. Taunton is already suffering from over development with congested roads, over subscribed surgeries, dentists and schools. The recent Killams development that was approved on the provision of a school is a case in point, where the local authority reneged and changed the planning after approval to provide PF care home.
