Develope brown sites not green fields n country side

Too many new houses being built in this beautiful county, without enough forethought. By this, I mean already there’s a huge strain on public services such as schools, doctors and dentists. A lot of the proposed changes are developments on areas where there are natural water sources, therefore attracting wildlife and biodiversity. These should be protected. We are seeing flooding in areas we didn’t previously, combined with radically reduced water levels in summer, which should be considered.

Taunton is already rapidly being over developed. This proposed development will devastated our rural areas of natural beauty. Taunton has already been overrun with traffic, schools overcrowded. Hospital waiting times ridiculously increased. Sanitation services and water supplies higely impacted.

7000 homes? On top of the development to the West of Taunton and at Rumwell? It’s not sustainable, we do not have the infrastructure. I am worried that the size of this development will cause serious flooding problems. But the main objection is the destruction of our countryside which makes Somerset so special and attractive to visitors. This is poorly thought out and will be nothing more than an ugly urban sprawl.
