It is hard to understand why farmland is being developed whilst large areas of brown sites are still going undeveloped. The damage being caused to our beautiful county by this type of development is unsustainable

I think it’s disgraceful to be even considering building on such a huge area of land. Calling it a ‘garden village’ fools no-one when the plan is for 7000 houses. This area of Taunton is beautiful and offers lovely walks, scenery, wildlife habitat and some well-needed peace for promoting mental health. I’m horrified that this is likely to happen and I just wanted to add my strong shock and dissent.

We have no new plans for water infrastructure to support this. This is the age of climate change, droughts and dwindling water supplies how ridiculous to suggest building more buildings, and escalating what is already a dire situation.

Somerset does NOT need any more housing developments. It has no infrastructure, depleting wildlife and natural areas, and no job opportunities.
It would be an absolute disgrace if this hideous idea went through, I don’t know of anyone who supports it and is yet again an example of big corporations and developers having no respect or understanding for anything that truly matters on this earth - our natural world.

I live nearby and I ride my horse and walk my dogs in this beautiful countryside. The infrastructure won’t cope and additional traffic will be passing my home - the roads are busy enough as it is and local GP surgeries etc won’t cope
