We have recently moved to the area and love it because it is quiet, full of wildlife and with relatively minimal traffic through the Blackdown Hills. With this ridiculous volume of additional housing planned, the local impacts will spoil the tranquility and the importance of the hills forever.

There seems to be a conspiracy to destroy all our beautiful green and pleasant land and all our lovely wildlife as fast as possible. This is so heartbreaking and depressing. This needs to stop NOW. We have nearly 1.5 million empty homes in England and Wales (ONS) and there are brownfield sites capable of accommodating a further 1.4 million new build homes (CPRE). There is no need for housing on greenfield sites.

This development is too large for the infrastructure that will surround it. There is no plan for additional roads, hospitals or jobs for additional 16,000 people. This is an area of AONB and should not be considered for this scale of development.
