The countryside in this area is not meant to be built on. It’s stunning and beautiful. We do not need another town. Roads, school, GP’s etc etc already overrun with people.

I live in Stoke st Mary and I live here because of its beautiful countryside, wildlife and peace. This development will ruin not only here but the whole of Taunton. Building needs to stop we don’t have the infrastructure to cope with so many or any more houses.

This new town is being built on farmland in a rural area. Taylor Wimpy's proposal to leave large areas of the site as green spaces will do little to mitigate the huge impact on the area of 7,000 new homes. The increase in traffic on what are currently quiet country lanes which are used by horse riders, walkers etc will be devastating. The impact on local medical services, pharmacies, dentists etc will be detrimental to local residents this side of Taunton.

The authorities need to insist developers build on brown field sites first and improve the infrastructure to cope with the existing population before even considering building more houses.

Brownfield sites in Taunton, enough for 8000 houses available so this should be built on first, not taking agricultural land east of the motorway. M5 is a demarcation line for no development east.
The Crown sold it as agricultural and Taylor Wimpey paid agricultural price for it.

The infrastructure is already unusable as it is in Taunton. Try and get an NHS dentist, you can't. Try and get a doctors appointment, wait a month, then wait another month or more for a blood test, then a month again for the results. This area should be preserved as it is, enough of the urbanisation of farmland and woodland areas.

I work in the area and don't want the beautiful surroundings to be unnecessarily spoilt. Taunton is already struggling with the growth of housing and amenities not being provided to carer for the expansion.

Huge development which take away farmland and wildlife also will increase global warming we need to keep our farmland to help reduce our carbon footprint by growing our own food especially in the current climate of the state of the world. Also a huge impact of the villages and the Blackdown Hills as they will gradually disappear
