Too many historic green spaces are being developed and the wildlife is already in decline... Use grey areas where old defunct buildings can be replaced in populated areas instead of encroaching into our countryside and spoiling the natural environment... This greedy developer mindset only benefits the local councils in terms of council tax.... It does nothing to protect the environment.

The area between the Blackdowns, AONB Neroche Forest and surrounding the race course must be one of the. most beautiful areas in Somerset as well as being historically significant. Surely it is our responsibility to protect it from the development of housing when there must be brownfield sites or others available for the LPA to consider.

I don't believe that a new settlement is the answer to the growth demand. Investment in current infrastructure and the development of current settlements of dwellings is possible. This feels like running before we can walk and irresponsible.

Prime farmland is essential for food security - we will need it in such a volatile world. The AONB and Blackdown Vale is home to such wonderful wildlife and habitats and should be protected. The birth rate is falling so why the need for so many new homes? Keep our green spaces for all to enjoy.
