We’ve only recently moved to the area because of its beautiful countryside and peaceful surroundings. We walk our dog in the Blackdown Hills every day and love the scenery.
The roads around Taunton are already busy. Building in Blackdown Vale will only add more traffic and take away the natural beauty that makes this area so special. Once these green spaces are lost, they can’t be replaced.

We live in a very rural area with small villages and hamlets in and on the edge of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There is little infra structure, and very few amenities. A settlement of this size will be totally inappropriate in such a landscape. It will be ruinous for those living in the area and for wildlife in particular.

SSSI and AONB must be protected to a 2km radius. This means the building must not and cannot happen. Housing growth should be organic and no more than 10% in the first 5 years and no more than 20% over the full life of the project.
