I do not support a new maintenance facility in either location or any facility that will require removal of any natural vegetation. Why not put it near the aicpa building our outside the gates in something already zoned for industrial use

my concerns: 1. process/transparency or lack there of - the board and committees seem to have been doing this project in secrecy 2. removal of green space or common space anywhere in AIP and the precedence it sets 3. any vote to remove common space should be done by the entire community NOT just the AIPCA Board

Work days for maintenance workers start early disturbing sleep. They are loud and dirty. It will be detrimental to the peace and natural setting of our lovely neighborhood.

This plan is going to decimate a designated arboretum! This property IS NOT zoned for this use! It seems that we are no longer concerned to preserve our special community.

We came to the Amelia Island Plantation in 2013 from Golfside South when the Golfside trees began to disappear. We read the documents creating the Plantation and were satisfied that the trees were protected, with the AIPCA serving as steward. Guess we were wrong.

Way too much clearing for construction has occurred in my neighborhood on the Plantation. The big parking lot across from the Oaks wiped out a continuous nesting area for herons by the golf stormwater pond. Expanding the golf course amenities, clearing for acess to utlilites (that was never needed before for the same utilities) and other death-by-a-thousand-cuts must stop. Paving everything defeats the purpose of our community. Trees are inconvenient but we chose them. Do not expand m-yard.

I totally agree with the residents who live in the neighborhood. They did not bargain for a maintenance shed being built in their residential neighborhood. Not to mention the destruction of the maritime forest, and animal habitats.

I love the tree canopy- maritime forest - which made the Amelia Island Plantation a very special place to live. I would love to see that continue as it had for the past 50 years. I have loved this community since I started coming here in 1977 and hope that we can continue to take care of the wonderful natural resources that we have now and not see it destroyed. Our plants and animals depend on it.

The location proposed at Beachwood Dr presents a huge traffic and danger to pedestrians. There must be a better location for this facility. I’m sure we need improved maintenance facility location but it needs more study.
