I don’t play, but enjoy seeing so many people have fun playing at the park. I emphasize with the homeowners, but when you purchase property next to a park, you know people will be using it, they’ll be playing sports and making noise.

This is a very positive and healthy activity that any person of any age can play. It is an important activity that people can engage in to increase positive relationships with other people and to decrease isolation

Because Pickleball is enjoyed by many people of various ages. It's getting so popular that numerous courts are needed. And it's good for the people who play both physically and mentally.

At about 73 (now 76), I had never seriously participated in any game or sport before I discovered pickleball at the WCYMCA. Watching people play, it looked like friendly fun, and drew me in to try it. Now, it has become a core part of my social world and health regimen, and I hear that from so many other players too. It would be a shame to close down such a thriving activity at the park, without having another location ready to replace it.

I have been playing pickleball in Belfast for 6 years now and am grateful for the opportunities for exercise, being outdoors in a beautiful setting, meeting people from the community and those who have been drawn to Belfast for the reputation of the Belfast pickleball courts and group. It would be a shame if these courts were closed down before other pickleball courts become available.

We have reduced the noise considerably by using the “quiet” pickleballs. Seems like we are trying to being accommodating while the complainants just want it their way!

Belfast City Park pickleball courts are a truly special place to play, where mid coast pickleball players meet for fitness, fun and social connections.
