Manny is the heart and soul of northern hills golf course. Honestly, he's the heart and soul of Rochester city golf. I can't think of anyone else who works for the city courses who has as much influence as Manny. I've known Manny for many many years and he's always been a professional. If anyone should be terminated, it should be the Parks Director who has not told anyone at the course who is in charge, what any future plans are, or any correspondence for that matter...

Manny has been so good to me throughout all the years I’ve been playing at NHGC. I stand by him and definitely still want to have him as the Pro at NH!

Mike should continue as pro at NH because he is much more than an employee, he is a huge part of what makes NH feel like a golf community. His leadership, dedication, and genuine relationships with golfers have helped build the strong Men’s and Ladies Clubs, tournaments, and welcoming atmosphere that we value. His years of service and positive impact should be considered alongside any recent issue. Everyone deserves the opportunity to learn from mistakes, grow, and contributing to the community.

As a former employee of Northern Hill for 15 plus years and a person who has made two big mistake in my life. I’m very saddened by the choice of Rochester Park and Rec. The great community of Northern Hills never once turned their back on me. They have me a second chance to learn from my mistakes. I can tell you I wouldn’t be the man I am today without the love and support of Jake and Mike Manahan and everyone who has been part of the golf family at Northern.

Mike has been an integral part for keeping the Northern Hills home course golfers wanting to play there. His absence will create a significant void and will have a negative impact on our experience as members there. I highly recommend you keep Mike there if at all possible. I can tell you first hand there is a LOT of negative conversation about what has happened and how it is being handled and I think there will be a significant backlash if Mike isn’t given a chance to better this situation.

Mike’s recent absence from Northern Hills has left a deep void in the clubhouse and the atmosphere at Northern Hills. I have been a part of the men’s club for 20 years. Walking into the clubhouse and seeing Mike there feels like you’re walking into the bar Cheers. He know everybody’s name and if he doesn’t, he wants to know your name and your story. He has made such an impact on thousands of people that have come to NHGC.i ask the city to please reconsider his employment there. Thank you.

Mike runs Northern so well and always with a smile. Very personable and patient given all he deals with, it was evident to me in Mike’s absence that things didn’t run nearly as smoothly and I hope he will be retained.
