Ish was and is a dedicated and reliable postman. He was always hardworking, cheerful and punctual, making time for customers regardless of the weather. We all make mistakes and deserve a second chance. His dismissal is excessive and should be reconsidered with a more appropriate penalty that would allow him to return to work. The Royal Mail’s treatment of employees is unacceptable. Royal Mail, you are a disgrace!

Ish is the most pleasant gentleman, professional and kind . He does not deserve to be treated like this . This is a totally unacceptable response to a mistake - we are all human and he deserves to be treated humanely.

For over 23 years, my husband proudly served Royal Mail, giving his heart and soul to a job he genuinely loved. He often spoke about the wonderful people in the communities he delivered to and the pride he felt in serving them. His job was more than just work—it was his passion. Since his dismissal, I have watched him lose the confidence and purpose that defined him. It's heartbreaking to see 23 years of loyal, dedicated service overshadowed by one incident.

Ish has always been friendly, cheerful, helpful but most of all caring and I feel that he has been treated very badly by his superiors. Ish has admitted responsibility for this accident but his honesty has cost him his job and we in this village know he has gone beyond his call of duty day in day out. I am appalled that he has been treated so unfairly and harshly for telling the truth.

Unfair treatment should always be called out. Honest, hardworking conscientious postal workers are an asset to the community and they should be celebrated not victimised.

We are shocked and saddened to hear this news about Ish. We knew about the minor incident and the subsequent disciplinary process he was going through, but never thought he would be dismissed for being honest and doing the right thing. Ish has been our postman for years and has consistently gone over and above to ensure we get our mail and parcels. He is a much loved member of the Dickens Heath Community and we urge Royal Mail to reinstate him as soon as possible. Rich and Ellie Ludlow

This is an absolute travesty and his dismissal has been inflicted by individuals who do not know how diligent and hardworking this individual was. He has been replaced by someone who is the polar opposite of him rude, sharp and unwelcoming. Reinstate him our asset. I am sure this is a good story for the press.

In my personal opinion, he comes across as an honest, genuine, and caring man who has always treated people with kindness and respect. Everyone makes mistakes, and I don’t believe he deserves to be dismissed over something this small. His character and the positive impact he has had on others should count for far more than one isolated situation. We stand by him, support him, and hope this can be handled fairly and with understanding.
Unfair dismissal!!
