Another unhappy Dickens Heath Resident. Accidents happen. Nobody was seriously injured. I take it none of you making this decisions have ever made a mistake in your life. The Post Office imprisoned people for doing nothing wrong, now Royal Mail are sacking people for accidents. Seems like a way to avoid redundancy pay as you downsize. Disgraceful way to treat a long term employee as lovely as Ish.

Ish has been a postie for my parents for many years. He was so kind to my dad, who passed away earlier this year, and who would have been horrified to hear about this. Ish is exactly the type of diligent worker the Royal Mail should have in the community.

Ish was and is a dedicated and reliable postman. He was always hardworking, cheerful and punctual, making time for customers regardless of the weather. We all make mistakes and deserve a second chance. His dismissal is excessive and should be reconsidered with a more appropriate penalty that would allow him to return to work. The Royal Mail’s treatment of employees is unacceptable. Royal Mail, you are a disgrace!
