Reinstate our dismissed postman, Ish

Ish has been my postman since 2010 and is exceptional at his job. Nothing is too much trouble for him and he deserves a 2nd chance. This dismissal seems very unfair when he has had an unblemished record with RM for 23 years . I have known him for 16 of those and really look forward to his visits on my drive. Please re instate him

I fully support this petition. Ish has been a fantastic postman and a valued member of the Dickens Heath community for many years. His honesty in reporting the incident and his 23 years of dedicated, unblemished service should count for something. Everyone can make a mistake, and it seems completely unfair for one incident to erase decades of hard work and commitment. I hope Royal Mail reviews this case with compassion and fairness and gives Ish the opportunity to return to the job and community

I have only just found out about this, and wondered where Ish had been. This is an outrage, and a really awful reflection on Royal Mail as an employer. I have been a CEO and MD for 25 years in various businesses, and one thing you need to be able to do is to make sensible commercial decisions while 'reading the room'. This is a classic example of needing to do so.

My dad has always taken great pride in his work and has been a dedicated, reliable member of the Royal Mail team for many years. This situation has been incredibly difficult for him, especially given how much he cares about the people he serves. The support from residents shows the real impact he has had in the community, building genuine relationships and always going the extra mile with kindness and respect. One minor accident does not reflect his years of commitment and excellent service.
