I agree wholeheartedly but would also agree with some other comments. Limiting noise would be a great step forward but let’s ban private purchases & use entirely.
This isn’t just about animals many people struggle with the noise for many different reasons; PTSD & disability bring just examples.
When one factors in the potential loss / damage and the risk of injury from domestic use, it is frankly amazing that fireworks remain legal.

The majority of animals are terrified on bonfire night, both pets and farm animals. Reducing the noise would help significantly.

A great visual display does not have to be accompanied by excessive noise- the noises created can often cause great distress unnecessarily. A limit on noise levels is necessary

I agreed that the first bangs were way too loud and was worried for animals and vulnerable people, they were shockingly loud

Initial firework was so loud it made my jump. Following approx 5 mins of very loud noise. This came from next door which is a farm in Icklesham.

Our lovely animals, farm and pets, need to be protected from the very frightening noise created by the really loud fireworks. There are plenty of beautiful fireworks that don't make as much noise.

I do not agree with unnecessarily upsetting animals, especially in such a trivial cause.

The display will still be as exciting and beautiful without the stupidly loud added 'bangs'

What is the purpose of the tremendous volume? Wildlife, farming, our beloved pets, people working shifts, veterans etc - all hugely affected & sometimes lose their lives as a result!

It’s heartbreaking to see the animals terrified like this. (And I wonder how it affects birds?)

I love the fireworks but totally agree no need for the loud explosions we are lucky our pets don't seem to mind but I know plenty of people who dread the many celebrations that now seem to use fireworks

They scare farm animals, wild animals, pets and people. They are unnecessary and in this economy the money could be put to a much more constructive use.

Many household pets, my own included, are traumatised by the noise of fireworks, especially very loud bangers! Also wildlife suffers greatly with animals and birds actually dying as a result, horses bolting into roads, etc. Humans are also distressed. I love the beauty of fireworks when properly managed at a public display, but believe they should be replaced with ones that are silent or very low noise, as in other countries such as Italy, and banned for sale for private use!
