As a town councillor I support this petition. The road is dangerous. There have been serious accidents recently. Many visitors to Fowey are not familiar with the roads so better signage and speed restrictions are absolutely necessary in this instance.

I hope something is done about this before the is a major accident and someone looses there life and think it's ridiculous that they plan to change the whole of fowey to 20 but Newtown where there have been serious recorded accidents under the plans released would remain 60 there is no common sense left in the world

This road is widely known to be far too treacherous for the current speed limit and the recent accidents are evidence of this. Please amend the speed and let’s have no more life changing accidents .

Life outside the garden gate is dangerous. There is no pavement infront of the cottages only a white line to protect pedestrians. There is a lane onto the road with a blind sport to the left from our parking area. 60mph is unnecessary fast when you consider the 20mph in Par with pavements both sides.

Several concealed entrances along this stretch of road which drivers unaware of. 2 serious accidents in the last 18 months needing air ambulance. 2 cars cannot pass safely in some stretches of the road. We need a 30 mile an hour limit through this area to enable cars/lorries/ agricultural machinery time to react to oncoming vehicles

We live just on the edge of Newtown and have helped at a few of the incidents that have happened. Hidden drive ways with high speed , young drivers and animals. Newtown deserves a speed reduction and definitely better signs.
